He takes only small jobs on existing wiring — swapping outlets, switches, light fixtures and ceiling fans — that need no permit, he works on his own with no hired helpers, and the whole job stays under $1,000 including labor, materials, and all other project costs. Anything bigger — a panel upgrade, a new circuit, an EV charger or rewiring — is a job for a licensed contractor, and he'll tell you so up front.
